Hertfordshire Resilience Conference 2007

As in previous years, members of Hertfordshire RAYNET were privileged to be delegates at this event, together with colleagues from other voluntary organisations and representatives from the statutory emergency services. As usual at this conference, we were treated to a program of excellent speakers, on subjects as diverse as the recovery from the Buncefield oil depot explosion and the planned response to the threat of pandemic influenza. The program included a speaker from FEMA, who spoke about their experiences in the USA with communications to the public in various incidents.

Pictured here is the display area inside the venue for suppliers of emergency equipment, and other organisations. We once again provided a display , which proved invaluable in explaining our work to attendees in the break periods during the seminar.
