The Mobile Communications Unit

RAYNET members give freely of their time and equipment during events and training activities, using their own handheld or vehicle-mounted radios, and operating in the licensed amateur radio bands.

However, Mid-Herts Raynet has also been fortunate enough to obtain a Mobile Communications Unit (MCU), which can be set up almost anywhere, allowing professional control of the radio network.

The MCU is self-contained and can accomodate several operators and members of the user services in comfort in all weather conditions.
